Product Description:
The fully automatic water softener comes equipped with a comprehensive automatic control system, which can be customized as a single or dual tank system, based on the user's requirements. In the case of a dual tank system, when one tank reaches its set water production capacity, it automatically goes into regeneration mode while the other takes over the operation. The entire softening system works in a fully automatic mode, including critical stages like running, backwashing, brine suction, ion exchange, forward flushing, and standby.
All the raw water flows through the resin tank containing an ion exchange resin, with an automatic control valve. The Na+ ions in the resin exchange with the cations (Ca2+, Mg2+) in the water. This results in an outlet of softener water having a water hardness ≤0.03mmol/L. When the set flow rate is achieved, the controller will automatically initiate the regeneration process, consisting of the following steps:
- Backwashing: To flush and remove accumulated suspended particles, water is directed upward through the bottom distributor into the resin bed.
- Brine Suction Regeneration: The saturated brine solution is injected through the brine injector into the resin tank after diluting it to 5-8% concentration. The brine solution then flows downward, regenerating the resin and restoring its original exchange capacity.
- Exchange: This step happens in two stages. In the first, some regeneration brine remains in the upper space of the resin tank after the regeneration liquid injection. To ensure efficient use of this brine, clean water with the same flow rate is used to regenerate the residual brine through the resin bed. In the second step, the regeneration waste liquid in the resin pores is displaced from the bed.
- Forward Flushing: This step aims to remove the remaining regeneration waste liquid completely from the resin bed and clean it until the water conforms to the required standards.
